Between a Walk and a Hard Place (HPW) is a fun fundraising walk for local charities helping those backed into hard places: people displaced, vulnerable, or exploited. Join us on Sep. 26, 2026!
The Olive Branch Food Pantry began in 1965 at the initiative of Pastor Hartley Wigfield by helping a few families with donated canned goods. What started small has grown into a ministry that now serves hundreds of families throughout Winchester, Frederick County, and surrounding communities.
We exist to supplement food and groceries for those facing food insecurity while offering encouragement and prayer along the way.
Join us on September 26 as we walk and fundraise together, helping those backed into hard places. Each step and each dollar raised, helps us continue to offer our expanding service and support. Walking shoulder to shoulder reminds us all that our shared compassion is what makes us such a great community.
Registration will take place at the Olive Branch Food Pantry warehouse. Parking is free in all designated spots.
